Do You Know Jesus?
Who is Jesus?
THE PRAYER |
Before you pray this prayer — feel free to read the BACKGROUND information below to clarify for you who Jesus is and why this prayer is important. After you have prayed the prayer below, based on the following Scriptures, continue to the NOW WHAT section. Welcome to the family of God. We love you!
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.“ — Romans 10:9
DEAR JESUS,
I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins, and that You rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and ask You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Your Name, Amen.
BACKGROUND |
1. JESUS (YESHUA) is the Son of God who was sent into the world to cover the sins (the acts we do that separate us from God) in order that the sins we commit be forgivable, not only through Jesus, but as a result of His having died on the cross and conquering death by rising from the dead three days later. Jesus died so that we may have the right to eternal life. No matter how it may appear, after we pass away (leave this earth) — there is life after death in eternity. The way we live while we are on earth determines if we will be able to be with God in heaven or be in eternal terror in hell. For many, the concept of heaven and hell has been deemed mythological or a notion that is untrue — we are here to let you know both a very real. We admonish you to consider salvation (your life being saved) through Jesus as a means of insurance for you to spend eternity with God and live the rest of your life underneath His protection (see Psalm 91 and Exodus 15:26). This becomes possible when you you ask for forgiveness from the things you have done that have separated you from God and confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior (acknowledging His sacrifice on the cross and His having overcome death three days later). Once you have done so, you can be assured you will have eternal life. This is one of the greatest decisions you can ever make. You may be under the impression that you have more time and that you have much more life to live. However, none of us know how much longer we will live. What we do know is that we are in the last days (some of the final days of earth foretold in the book of Revelations in the Holy Bible). We know that salvation is a choice and today we encourage you to choose life.
2. REPENTANCE is one of the most important aspects of salvation. Repentance isn't feeling bad for what you have done that separates you from God (sin). It is coming to God and asking Him to forgive you for the things you have done that have grieved Him. After which it is turning away from those things from this day forward. You MUST ask God for forgiveness with a sincere heart that is truly sorry for living a life that does not please Him. You must understand that this is an important step. The next step is to remain steadfast in living a life that is righteous — a life where you no longer do the things that once separated you from God.
Be sure to pray the above prayer by faith and thereafter pray that the God of this prayer, reveals Himself to you — KNOW THAT HE WILL! God bless you!
PRAY THE ABOVE PRAYER TO COME INTO RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST.
NOW WHAT |
If you just prayed the above prayer, CONGRATULATIONS you are now saved and will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven! The next steps are to remain steadfast in your faith.
1. READ THE WORD OF GOD
2. PRAY CONSISTENTLY
3. MAINTAIN FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHER BELIEVERS (WOW DAILY PRAYERS, BIBLE STUDY, CHURCH) — however, be mindful of where you decide to attend, as you must ensure you aren’t being further led astray in a church that has fallen away from God’s word (See Revelations Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 for reference).
4. YOU MUST NO LONGER SIN and if you make such a mistake, you must immediately go to God and ask for forgiveness. If you continue living a life of sin without repentance, you are no longer under the covering of salvation.
We will be praying with you! God bless you!
